People in recovery have a hard time adjusting to life without drugs or alcohol. And it’s totally understandable because their life was revolved around that before they got sober. Exercise is suggested in recovery because it helps with their health, makes them active and takes their mind off negativity. It also decreases daily stress and makes them more focused and present. There are several forms of exercise, but this article will be touching on yoga and yoga poses.
When in doubt, try yoga! It’s good for beginners, intermediate or experienced fitness people! There’s no wrong practice to do. Whatever pose, practice or instructor you follow, it will help tremendously with your recovery.
